The majority of Estate Agents would consider that a basic floor plan is an integral part, of any sales brochure produced to market a property.
This type of floor plan allows both agency staff, and potential purchasers to visualise the layout of the property.
Room dimensions are measured and drawn precisely but other fixtures and fittings (if noted) are approximated. Plans can be presented in many formats.

Retrofit compliant floor plans
A retrofit compliant plan will contain, but not limited to:
- Labelled room layout, covering all levels of the property.
- Measurements.
- Areas.
- Party walls and heat loss perimeters.
- Orientations
- Position of heating within the property and heat emitters.
- Measurements and position of windows and openings.
- Services (Loft access, cookers, baths, showers, heating, heat emitters, internal doors, gas/electric meters.
- Room descriptions and locations
- Detailed key.
